You can enjoy all seasons, swimming, skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking and cycling,
\nand when you don't feel like going out, you can relax on the terrace, have a campfire or curl up on the sofa by the stove.<\/p>\n

We've picked out a few tips from our own wanderings around the area. Of course, there is much more, we do not list the \"famous\" Sumava tours that you will find in every guidebook. ASCENT TO THE MOUNTAIN PRENET<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>
\nMount Prenet is the extreme point of the Pancir Ridge and offers views of the border mountains and the hinterland.

\"\"<\/a>IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE FORMANS<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe circular nature trail has seven stops and leads through beautiful countryside past a number of romantic chapels. It introduces you to the history of the surrounding villages, the life of formans and robbers. At Matejovice it is possible to turn off at two places

\"\"<\/a>TRIP TO THE SUCHE STUDANKY<\/span><\/strong>
\nOn the plains and meadows on the slopes of Mostek mountain. The chapel of the Virgin Mary, which is the highest chapel on the Czech side of \u0160umava (1050 m above sea level), has been preserved to this day. You can choose the length of the trip yourself - you can go up the mountain, or you can stay at the crossroads below the mountain and enjoy the view, or you can continue up or towards \u0160uka\u010dka, wherever you like. \u00a0lenght 15 km<\/em> \/ map <\/u> <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>THROUGH KROTEJOV AND SPLZ<\/span>
\n<\/strong>A pleasant walk from the houses down the road to Krotejov - Plazky - Splz. After Splz either down the road or through the forest and run down through the meadow
\nand back to the houses along the road. You can shorten the route if you go from Krot\u011bjov directly to Spl\u017e. lenght: 9 \u2013 11 km <\/em>\/ map <\/u> <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Version with small children: take the car to point 2 on the map, park there and head towards Krotejov and wander along the local roads. The terrain here is easy and you can take a bike\/rear wheel\/suitable for a stroller. \nIt's just beautiful and mysterious. The once important Sumava village of Zhuri disappeared during the second World War. Today, the nature reserve is an important peat bog, wetland and nesting ground. The K\u0159emeln\u00e1 brook flows through the quiet Sumava forests. We leave it up to you to wander around this beautiful area. map <\/u> <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>B\u0158EZN\u00cdK \/ VINTIR'S ROCK \/ CHALET ROVINA<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe combination of a trip and good food. Whether you start or end your trip with a meal at Rovina Restaurant is up to you, you will enjoy it in every way. You can walk to the former Pustina grove and to the Vintir's rock with the chapel of St. Vintir on Breznik (1006 m above sea level). The monk Vintir stayed in the hermitage in the years
\n1040-1045. The trip can be customized to suit you, but if you want to extend your trip, it is worth going to the Glass Valley.

\"\"<\/a>CACHROV \/ NATURE PARK KOCHANOV<\/span><\/strong>
\nA pleasant walk through the Paradise Valley past the former mill, nice views, meadows, forest. The nature park, declared in 1994, covers an area of 81 km\u00b2 and is situated on the Kochanov plains in the foothills of the Sumava Mountains and includes several watercourses
\nand floodplain forests with rare plants and animals. Again, you can customize your trip, our route is 12 km long \/ map<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>OSTRY MOUNTAIN (1293 m)<\/span><\/strong>
\nIf you like hiking, we recommend a trip to the Ostry mountain (Gro\u00dfer Osser). The route starts in Hamry and continues through Statecek. The route is for the fittest - the uphill is 6.6 km long, the whole time there is a climb with an elevation of 663m, the view from the top
\nbut it's worth it. If you feel like it, you can take the way back via Zadni Hamry, which will make the trip a bit longer. \u00a0lenght: 14,2 km<\/em> \/ map <\/u> <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>PODOL\u00cd \/ JAVO\u0158\u00cd \/ TR\u017dEK<\/span><\/strong>
\nIt's also very nice in the Podoli area, here's a tip for a shorter trip, which leads through the nice ruins of the 14th century church of St. Bartholomew. You can extend the route through Javori and Trzek, or on the other side in the direction of Hubenov, Besiny.

\"\"<\/a>VELHARTICE CASTLE<\/span><\/strong>
\nWe should not forget to mention a trip to Velhartice Castle. You can walk around, eat, take a tour of the castle (we recommend booking in advance) and on the way back to the car park you can buy local potatoes in the vending machine, they are usually good! In the summer there is also a funfair. On the way we recommend a visit to the church of St. Mary Magdalene. \u00a0 map <\/u> <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t

The surroundings of the Ka\u0161persk\u00e9 hory and Rej\u0161tejn are beautiful, as well as trips to Lake Laka, Prasil Lake, Black and Devil's Lake. If you want a \"small-town experience\", we recommend visiting Klatovy or Su\u0161ice (you will find fun for children).<\/p>\n

SWIMMING<\/strong><\/h5>\n

On summer days, there are plenty of swimming opportunities within driving distance of the cottages. Natural swimming pool directly behind the village in De\u0161enice<\/u><\/a> (there is also a new playground). In the nearby N\u00fdrsko<\/u><\/a> newly renovated outdoor saltwater pool, another outdoor pool is in Janovice nad \u00dahlavou<\/u><\/a>. If you feel like going to Germany, we recommend the water park about 25 minutes away Osserbad Lam<\/u><\/a>during the week and in the winter months it is quieter and you can also access the sauna and in the summer there is also outdoor swimming. There is also a pleasant summer swimming pool in Klatovy<\/u><\/a> (next to it you will find an indoor water park with a whirlpool <\/span>
\nand sauna), we also recommend the natural swimming pool P\u00edskovna Be\u0148ovy<\/u><\/a> just outside of Klatovy.<\/span><\/p>\n

WITH CHILDREN TO GERMANY<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Bavarian Forest also offers a large number of excursions and hiking trails.
\nWith children we recommend going to Bayerwald Tierpark<\/u> <\/a> (open all year round, 40 min by car) and to the pleasant Aquapark with sauna
\nand steam in Lamu (Orsserbad Lam<\/u><\/a>). Other tips in this area are the viewpoint Hindenburgkanzel<\/u><\/a>which is just off the road, Mal\u00e9 Javorsk\u00e9 jezero<\/u><\/a> (Kleiner Arbersee, car park in Moosh\u00fctte<\/u><\/a>), it is also worth visiting Velk\u00fd Javor<\/u><\/a> (Gro\u00dfer Arber) - a ski resort that you can also visit during the summer. \u00a0map<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Another destination you can visit with children (even on a bike) is a trip around the lake Drachensee<\/u><\/a> at Furt im Wald (get an ice cream on the square there), go to the Wildgarten<\/u><\/a>, it is also worth mentioning Hohenbogen<\/u><\/a> where you can take a cable car up to enjoy the spectacular views. map<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

THE KIDS WILL APPRECIATE IT IF YOU TAKE THEM:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n

PLAYGROUNDS NEARBY<\/strong><\/h5>\n

With children you can go to several playgrounds in the area: one small one is right in\u00a0D\u011bpoltic\u00edch<\/u><\/a>\u00a0you can walk there from the houses, a new playground is in\u00a0De\u0161enice<\/u><\/a>\u00a0near the nartural swimming pool, another one is in\u00a0Str\u00e1\u017eov\u011b<\/u><\/a>, in\u00a0N\u00fdrsko<\/u><\/a>\u00a0there is an in-line track near the playground, you can take a scooter, a bicycle, you can get there from the centre of N\u00fdrsko by a nice walk along the water (or there is a parking lot).<\/p>\n
